A correction of the abdominal wall is usually considered in case you suffer from excess skin as a result of a stretched or flopped out abdomen. With ageing, women as well as men can develop a protruding abdomen. This does not necessarily indicate a form of overweight. In most cases the protruding abdomen is just an annoying deposit of fat below the navel. Besides this deposit some people also have an excess of skin tissue. A significant loss of weight or a pregnancy is likely to serve as its cause.
Excess fat itself is very well treatable with Tumescent Liposculpture. (see Liposculpture section). If it is just a matter of flabby skin, the excess skin can be removed. A flabby skin is recognized by a more or less manifest folding of the skin in the groin area. The removal of excess skin is called a correction of the abdominal wall, also known as a tummy tuck. In some case the left and right abdominal muscles are attached to each other, the so called reefing or tightening of the abdominal muscles. The result of this treatment is usually very beautiful and quite accurate to predict.
