Consultation

Prior to surgery you will have a personal meeting with consultant and/or physician. This conversation/meeting is necessary to determine whether it is a suitable treatment for you. If this is the case the entire proceeding will be talked over with you step by step. You and the physician will look at the target areas and discuss possible treatments.

An ear correction is usually performed under local anesthesia (children under the age of ten, however, we recommend general anesthesia) and take up to one hour. The surgery consists of reducing the outer ear and / or correcting the position of the ear. The entire operation takes place at the back of the ear so the scaring will be barely visible. First, the cartilaginous skeleton of the ear will be adjusted and a piece of skin at the back of the ear will be removed.
Then the wound will be closed. Half a hour after surgery the client can go home.The ears may look bruised and swollen during the First 10 days.
